Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

What fun to have lots of activity going on at Daydream Designs.  We are having so much fun sponsoring all kinds of new challenge blogs and playing along with the challenges.  This week Daydream Designs is sponsoring Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for the first time.  I'm always amazed at how different cards can look even when designed using the same sketch (layout).  And this is a fabulous sketch.

We hope you will play along too and add your creation(s) to the challenge.  Our sponsorship gift this week is a $15 coupon for a little shopping in my store, Daydream Designs.  So head on over to Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for a chance to win.

Here's this week's sketch:

I'm sharing two cards that fit the sketch design, with one showing a modified "flip" of the layout. My first sample fits the sketch pretty closely...only a slight modification to the center panel...a die cut shape rather than a square.

The small square "patches" are cut from papers from Winter Wonderland Papers, that I designed for Daydream Designs.  I used a piece of SU foil paper from last year's Christmas papers.  I loved it and bought a ton of I'm putting it to good use here.

The ribbon and glitter paper from which I die cut the snowflakes are also from Stampin' Up!

The sentiment is from one of my new Christmas favorites, The Glory of Christmas Sentiment set, also available at Daydream Designs.  I simply recolored the black version to perfectly match the paper color.

My second sample is a Sweet Warm Up in more than one way!  That's the name of the ensemble from which I designed the card AND I'm warming this card up from last season.  I found it in my photo files while searching for something else, and I thought it matched the sketch amazingly well.  The embellishment placement is just reversed and flipped.  Since I'm not really entering the challenge, I figured I could take a few more liberties with the sketch!

All of us at Daydream Designs hope you will come and join us at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and link up your own rendering of this sketch.  You might be a winner who can start rolling your cart around in our Daydream Designs store!

Love that you did the verse in turquoise and used those papers. Love to see you creating again.
